ANTI-CORPOS: PIECES OF A QUEER TOUR
anti-corpos: pedaços de uma turnê cúir
ROLE: DIRECTOR 2020 DOCUMENTARY
SHORT FILM 20 MINUTES

In 2019, the queer-punk band Anti-corpos decided to return to Brazil and undertake a north-south tour. The film is a portrait of this journey, being guided by the impressions and feelings of the band's members when faced with a profoundly different Brazil given all the recent political changes.
In other words, the movie follows a punk queercore band touring through Brazilian cities. The major theme is beyond the implications of the traveling within itself, but, rather, the feelings and reflections that the trip causes on the band members. “Anti-corpos: pieces of a queer tour” tries to portray a specific social group minority in a conservative and queerphobic context, in a specific moment in Latin history: the rise of a fascist government.
The film premiered and was screened at “MixBrasil Film Festival’ in November 2020. Also, it was selected to be screened at “Berlin Lift-off Film Festival” in 2021; In-Edit Brasil Film Festival in 2021; IndieFest Film Awards in 2021; and NYBRFF 2023.
